Originally conceived as part of a bespoke grillz design, this little bug was lovingly hand-carved with precision and intention. Its initial placement proved too bold for the final grillz design; however, it was too precious to discard. Thus, it was reimagined into a tiny nature-inspired pendant.

Our Akrafena collection is inspired by the beautiful black iron and gold glided sword use by the Akan people, from present day Ghana, called an Akrafena. The Akan people were known for inscribing symbols on their swords, which reflected different messages. These messages were either for their enemies during warfare or for the tribe during their ceremonies.
